About

I am a Seattle-based somatic therapist and dance artist, choreographer, improviser and dance educator with an MFA in dance from the University of Illinois. My fascination with the body has inspired my studies in somatic therapies, dance improvisation and technical forms, mindfulness practices, and body work. My practices as a dance artist and somatic therapist are incredibly intertwined, both holding my excitement and curiosity in honoring the body's innate intelligence to move, connect, heal, witness, be witnessed, speak, empathize, read environments and be with nature--the list is long and actually endless.

While pursuing an MFA in dance, I realized my interest in the way the human body holds memory and, specifically, the relationship between the body and trauma. As a result, I’ve cultivated a life centered around movement and the body.

For the last 15 years I’ve worked as a healing arts professional, helping individuals meet their wellness goals through movement, touch, and verbal direction. Many clients benefit from increased somatic awareness and self-discovery.

Outside of somatics I am a dance artist, choreographer, and educator.   My practices as a dance artist and somatic therapist are incredibly intertwined, both holding my excitement and curiosity in honoring the body's innate intelligence to move, connect, heal, witness, be witnessed, speak, empathize, read environments and be with nature--the list is long and actually endless.
